School Canceled - Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
Mabton School District School Closure Update
Due to the continued heat and the impact on the health and safety of our students and staff, all Mabton School District schools will be closed on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
We understand this is a significant disruption and we appreciate your continued patience. The well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. We are actively working on a permanent solution and will continue to explore temporary options.
Below is a message from Apollo Solutions Group, the company managing the cooling system project:

Below is a message from Apollo Solutions Group, the company managing the cooling system project:
Thank you very much for your patience in working with us to resolve cooling issues at Mabton middle/high school. From the time we were given a notice to proceed from the Department of Enterprise Services, we have worked diligently to finalize the design and procure long lead item equipment. Unfortunately, the chiller which is to provide cooling in the building was the longest lead item and as such, is set to arrive at the end of September. We will continue to assess temporary cooling options in the building, and especially the four classrooms on the north side of the building as well as the music room.Scott Lewis Business Development Manager Apollo Solutions Group

Entendemos que esto representa una interrupción significativa y agradecemos su paciencia continua. El bienestar de nuestros estudiantes y personal es nuestra máxima prioridad. Estamos trabajando activamente en una solución permanente y continuaremos explorando opciones temporales.
A continuación se muestra un mensaje de Apollo Solutions Group, la compañía encargada del proyecto del sistema de enfriamiento:
“Muchas gracias por su paciencia al trabajar con nosotros para resolver los problemas de enfriamiento en la escuela secundaria/preparatoria de Mabton. Desde el momento en que recibimos la autorización para proceder del Departamento de Servicios Empresariales, hemos trabajado diligentemente para finalizar el diseño y adquirir los equipos con tiempos de entrega prolongados. Lamentablemente, el enfriador que proporcionará aire acondicionado en el edificio fue el equipo con el tiempo de entrega más largo y, por lo tanto, está programado para llegar a finales de septiembre. Continuaremos evaluando opciones temporales de enfriamiento en el edificio, especialmente en los cuatro salones en el lado norte del edificio, así como en el salón de música.”
