Dear Staff, Students, and Families,

The past week and a half has been a challenging time, but it has also been a beautiful demonstration of what our community can accomplish when we work together. We want to extend our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of support from the City of Mabton, our neighboring districts, the construction crew, the Fire Chief, and our dedicated teachers, maintenance, transportation, administrators, and custodial staff. It was truly inspiring to witness everyone come together during this time of need. Your support has been overwhelming, and because of it, we are confident and ready to welcome students back on September 2.

As you know, this is a temporary relocation. We have worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition and want to remind you that we will be ready for students to return to learning on September 2nd. We have added doors and fencing to create separate spaces for our elementary and MS/HS students. We want to assure you that the building has more than enough capacity, and we have met all fire codes. The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority.

For our elementary students, the impact of this move is as minimal as possible. The only changes will be adjusted arrival and dismissal locations and a possible classroom change. Our MS/HS students will also have a slight change to their schedule, beginning and ending their day 10 minutes earlier than normal. Instruction for MS/HS will start at 8:20 a.m. and end at 2:50 p.m.

Included in the relocation package is everything you need to know to be prepared. This includes the full, detailed relocation plan, as well as a quick reference summary. You'll also find separate maps and times for elementary and MS/HS student arrivals and dismissals, along with a building layout that clearly shows the separate locations for elementary and MS/HS students.

To help you feel comfortable with the new space, we are holding building tours tomorrow. You can visit at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., or 4:30 p.m. If you would like to sign up for a tour, please call the district office and speak with Felicia at 509-894-4852.

We are excited to see everyone back on September 2nd. We are ready for learning, and we know our students are too!

La última semana y media ha sido un momento desafiante, pero también ha sido una hermosa demostración de lo que nuestra comunidad puede lograr cuando trabajamos juntos. Queremos expresar nuestra más profunda gratitud por la increíble efusión de apoyo de la Ciudad de Mabton, nuestros distritos vecinos, el equipo de construcción, el Jefe de Bomberos y nuestro dedicado personal de maestros, mantenimiento, transporte, administradores y conserjes. Fue realmente inspirador ver a todos unirse en un momento de necesidad. Su apoyo ha sido abrumador y, gracias a él, estamos seguros y listos para dar la bienvenida a los estudiantes el 2 de septiembre.

Como saben, esta es una reubicación temporal. Hemos trabajado incansablemente para asegurar una transición sin problemas y queremos recordarles que estaremos listos para que los estudiantes regresen a aprender el 2 de septiembre.
